Bilt's transition from Wells Fargo to Cardless triggered erroneous collection notices for some older accounts issued by Evolve Bank. Cardholders report 60-point credit score drops and accounts sent to Tate & Kirlin Associates despite zero balances. Bilt says it is working with the collection agency and that incorrect credit reporting will be removed within 2-5 business days, but the damage to mortgage approvals is already done for some.
