Atmos Rewards members can earn 50,000 points by taking out a qualifying mortgage, refinance, or HELOC through Rate.com. That bonus is real, but it should be secondary to comparing the actual APR, lender fees, closing costs, and loan terms against competing offers. The points can be redeemed for flights on Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and other partners, making them valuable — but only if the mortgage itself is competitive. A 50,000-point haul does not justify a bad rate.
