The American Airlines and Hyatt loyalty partnership ends November 15, 2026, with final earnings through February 2027. Members lose the ability to earn Hyatt Globalist via American ConciergeKey (protected through February 2028), Hyatt free night certificates from AAdvantage Loyalty Point Rewards, and Main Cabin Extra seat coupons from Hyatt milestones. The current structure already required giving up other rewards like systemwide upgrades to pick partner benefits, making the breakup less surprising.

Hyatt's wedding offer pays up to 150,000 World of Hyatt points on $40,000 of wedding spend, but the yield per dollar is actually best at the lower tiers: $5,000 earns 30,000 points (6 per dollar) and $10,000 earns 60,000 (6 per dollar), while the $40,000 max drops to 3.75 per dollar. You also earn 2 Tier Qualifying Night credits for every $5,000 in eligible revenue. Request offer code HMOON in your contract by December 31, 2027, and hold the ceremony at a participating Hyatt property to lock in the bonus.

Hyatt's third buy-points offer of 2026 gives a 20% discount through October 5, bringing the cost to 2.08 cents per point. With a cap of 55,000 points per calendar year, the deal only makes sense if you have a specific stay at an expensive property or during a high-demand period when paid rates spike. Standard award pricing still exists, so value is concentrated in peak scenarios, not everyday redemptions.

A limited-time promotion at select Hyatt Inclusive Collection properties in Mexico and the Caribbean lets kids ages 3 to 12 stay free when booked by September 30, 2026, for stays through December 20, 2026. Some resorts require a three-night minimum, and blackout dates and occupancy limits apply. You can stack this with the Passport to Paradise offer, which provides up to 25% off and up to $200 in resort credits for bookings by the same date and stays through April 30, 2027. The deal is cash only, not valid for points redemptions, but you can earn World of Hyatt points on your stay. Participating brands include Bahia Principe, Dreams, Hyatt Ziva, and Sunscape.

The new Hyatt-Aeroplan partnership mostly delivers poor value on conversions and redemptions — 50,000 Hyatt points for a 30,000 Aeroplan award, 2:1 point transfers in either direction, and 500 Aeroplan points per Hyatt stay are all bad. The bright spots: elite members get a $20 CAD Air Canada flight credit annually, and status challenges can unlock meaningful elite tiers. Aeroplan members with elite status or a premium Canadian card can earn Hyatt Discoverist after 4 nights, Explorist after 10, or Globalist after 20 within 90 days; Hyatt Globalists and Explorists get an Aeroplan status challenge later this year.
