Turkish Airlines will sell Sydney-Singapore as a standalone fifth-freedom ticket from 26 October 2026, using an A350-900 with lie-flat Business and Economy. The 2.50am arrival in Singapore is rough, but award availability on this new route could be a steal compared to connecting options. This adds a full-service competitor to a route already served by Singapore Airlines, Qantas, British Airways and Scoot. Business Class on the A350 offers direct aisle access and an onboard chef, though the seat's ergonomics may not suit long hauls.
